                                            Healthcare Policies

“A healthy state is a strong state!”

                                       4 Pillars of Healthcare

  1. Expanding Badgercare to make sure workers and their families are covered
  2. Full Badgercare coverage for individuals making up to $40k/year
  3. Full Badgercare coverage for couples making up to $55k.year
  4. Full Badgercare coverage for families of four making up to $80k/year

                               Additional Health Care Policies

  • Guaranteed paid sick leave for every full time worker
  • Guaranteed insurance coverage and paid sick leave for every part time worker
  • Expand access for mental healthcare
  • Expand mental healthcare coverage within Badgercare
  • Make sure every K-12 school has at least one nurse, one counselor, and one social worker
  • Healthcare workers deserve hazard pay along with other essential workers such as first responders, grocery store workers, and restaurant employees

                               Legalize medicinal marijuana

States who have legalized it reports strong economic benefits. In 2018, more than 80% approved for the legalization of marijuana in a statewide referendum. This is not a partisan issue! There are proven benefits for cancer patients. Marijuana is an all-natural remedy as compared to prescription drugs and is a cost effective form of treatment.

                                Fix Prescription Drug Access

  • Cap the monthly cost of insulin at $100
  • Reduce out of pocket prescription costs
  • Establish permanent drug disposal boxes at police stations and hospitals

                                           Education Policies

                                                        K-12

  • Increase per-student funding statewide
  • One counselor, one nurse, and one social worker in every K-12 public school
  • Remove police from schools
  • Cap all class sizes at 20 students
  • Encourage restorative justice to close the school-to-prison pipeline

                                         College & Universities

  • 10 year tuition cap
  • 10 year room and board cap
  • Increase funding for environmental research
  • Increase funding for minority scholarships
                                       Infrastructure

I would reverse a RTA law (created in 2011) to allow for the creation of Regional Transit Authorities in the metropolitan areas of Wisconsin cities. This would reduce traffic by expanding public transportation. As a result there would be a reduction of cars on the road which in turn would reduce emissions into our environment.

By expanding affordable and accessible public transportation the population will spread out within a city and connect outlying suburbs and nearby cities as well. Also I would work to establish a rail service between Milwaukee and Madison.

I would ensure that a long-term funding program is established to keep roads and bridges repaired and in good condition. Everyone can agree that well-kept roads makes everyone safer (and fixes all the potholes too!).
