Infrastructure
I would reverse a RTA law (created in 2011) to allow for the creation of Regional Transit Authorities in the metropolitan areas of Wisconsin cities. This would reduce traffic by expanding public transportation. As a result there would be a reduction of cars on the road which in turn would reduce emissions into our environment. By expanding affordable and accessible public transportation the population will spread out within a city and connect outlying suburbs and nearby cities as well. Also I would work to establish a rail service between Milwaukee and Madison. I would ensure that a long-term funding program is established to keep roads and bridges repaired and in good condition. Everyone can agree that well-kept roads makes everyone safer (and fixes all the potholes too!). |
